PUBLISHER’S SUMMARY: Almost five hours of family entertainment! A seal who can't balance? An elephant who always forgets? A green cow who walks on her front feet? Uncle Dunkle and Donnie is a collection of imaginative, never-before-released cartoon scripts by Butler, who also worked on Jay Ward's classic 1960s Fractured Fairy Tales and Aesop and Sons animated cartoons. Daws Butler protégé Joe Bevilacqua performs 97 different characters in this production!
Uncle Dunkle and Donnie was written by Daws Butler and Joe Bevilacqua, and fully produced with sound effects and performed by Joe Bevilacqua, with music written by Joe Bevilacqua, performed by the Paul Salomone Trio, Julian Baker and Joe Gatto.

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: From the creators of The Misadventures of Sherlock Holmes, and Old-Time Radio Parodies, comes yet one more nugget of creative gold. It’s Uncle Dunkle and Donnie! Every day, little Donnie stops by for a visit with his old Uncle Dunkle, and occasionally Aunt Rapunzel, and the old-timers always have a new story to share with their favorite (and only) nephew.
This collection contains 35 of the aforementioned stories. Sometimes the tales have a lesson for young Donnie, like the story of how Alexander the Elephant learned to remember what his mother told him, and sometimes the stories are just plain silly, like the story of how Uncle Dunkle and Aunt Rapunzel met, high atop Mt. Everest. But always the stories will make you laugh, with that special brand of humor that seems to be all but forgotten in this day and age. That’s right, Daws Butler and Joe Bevilacqua are funny without being vulgar. And it’s fun for all ages. Some of the jokes are the silly kind that kids enjoy, while others are the more subtle kind that adults can appreciate.
In Uncle Dunkle and Donnie, Joe Bevilacqua conducts an absolute clinic on the art of voice acting. Like it says in the publisher’s summary, Bevilacqua voices all 97 of the characters in these 35 episodes. His voices are unique and are delivered flawlessly. And he also writes stories and music! This is quite a talented guy. As with Joe Bev’s other Waterlogg Productions, the music and sound effects are well done, and the sound quality is very good.
Hey, do yourself a favor, and take a break from the murder mysteries and vampire stories for a while. Sit back and let the old pros entertain you. This is 5 hours of listening pleasure that you won’t regret.
