The following is a brief list of some of my favorite audiobook review websites.

Abby the Librarian

Abby the Librarian is (ta-daa!) a real librarian at a real library. She writes audiobook reviews for some of the titles her library carries and posts them on her blog, focusing primarily on children’s and young adult audiobooks. Abby is a member of the American Library Association and a couple of other library organizations, and she frequently posts about the goings on in those groups, as well as her own library.

Audiobook DJ

Audiobook DJ is owned and operated by an honest to goodness librarian who is very big into audiobooks. In addition to audiobook reviews, Audiobook DJ also features lots of news and information about the audiobook world.

Audiobook Jukebox

If you’re interested in audiobook reviews, Audiobook Jukebox is really all you need. Audiobook Jukebox gets links to audiobook reviews, from dozens of reviewers all around the web, and gathers them all together in one convenient location. You can easily search the database for any audiobook you’re interested in, and there’s a good chance that you may find more than one review for the same audiobook so you can see more than one opinion. Also, if you are a reviewer yourself, you can submit your links and add them to the database.

Dog-Eared Copy

Dog-Eared Copy is the personal blog of someone who works for a major audiobook publisher, so you can be sure this lady knows audiobooks. Her reviews are honest and thoughtful, and cover a wide range of genres. One of my favorite things about Dog-Eared Copy is that she always includes some notes about the film whenever there is a movie tie-in.

The SF Site

The SF Site is a twice-monthly e-zine that features book and audiobook reviews specifically in the sci-fi genre. A variety of different people contribute reviews to The SF Site, so you can get some good exposure to different styles and opinions. A new edition of The SF Site is published on the 1st and 16th of each month.
