Lightning McQueen is one of the fastest racing cars around, and he knows it. Maybe it is because of his arrogance that he has no friends, and can’t find anyone to work in his pit crew. That’s okay, who needs friends when your famous. But when a twist of fate lands Lightning in a small isolated town where nobody knows how famous he is, he begins to realize, finally, the value of friendship, and maybe even love.
Cars is my very favorite Disney Pixar movie. The animation, the characters, the music, this film is top-notch all the way around. And talk about an all-star cast! To the three names above you can add Cheech Marin, George Carlin, and Michael Keaton.

We all knew this day would come. Andy is grown and leaving for college in a few days. But what will become of his beloved childhood toys: Woody, Buzz, Slink, and the rest? Mom has declared that anything that doesn’t go to college with Andy, or up into the attic, gets thrown out. Of course, Andy would never abandon his toys, but an honest mistake finds the toys donated to a day-care center.
Now, it’s a race against time as Woody and the gang try to escape from the Day-care (where the kids just don’t play very nice) and get back to Andy before he leaves for college. To accomplish this, they’ll have to escape the clutches of the twisted Lots-o-Hugs, a smelly garbage truck, and a fiery furnace!
Wow! This movie was amazing! Toy Story 3 has all of our favorite characters, plus some great new additions; my favorite was a Ken doll voiced by Michael Keaton (“I’m not a girl’s toy!) There is lots of action, adventure, and laughs just as in the first two Toy Story movies, and this one has an incredibly touching scene at the end when Andy bids a final farewell to his old friends. It will bring a tear to your eye for sure. This was the perfect ending to a perfect trilogy of movies. Assuming, of course, that this is the end.
As of this writing, Toy Story 3 has been out for just under a year, and has already grossed more than 1 billion dollars. That’s right, I said billion. Believe it or not, that only ranks #5 on the all time list, but the top four movies have been out for anywhere from 2 to 14 years. Toy Story 3 will move up that list quickly.

All of the DVS movies I listen to come from the Three Blind Mice. They have hundreds of titles in mp3 format to choose from, and they can all be downloaded to your computer completely free. Visit Three Blind Mice by following the link on the sidebar.

Toy Story 3 was an awesome movie. Just when you think they couldn't do anything storyline wise, they pull of this heartwarming story.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope everyone has seen it because you didn't really leave anything out.
And Cars, that made my fave list years ago when we sat in a Texas theater to watch it. Some great music too!
I'm glad Disney and Pixar joined, this is a match made in heaven!
