Some years have passed, and Shrek is feeling in a bit of a rut, what with caring for three babies, and putting up with all the bothersome friends he made in his previous adventures. In a fit of temper, Shrek signs a magical contract with Rumplestiltskin agreeing to give up one day of his past, in exchange for just one day of peace in his present. But the one day that old trickster Rumplestiltskin took, was the day Shrek was born. In true It’s a Wonderful Life fashion, Shrek gets to see what the world would have been like without him, and it’s not a pretty sight. The only way Shrek can undo the magical contract, is to find Fiona, and get her to fall in love with him and give him a kiss all over again. Oh yeah, and he only has one day to do it, or he will vanish from existence forever.
Shrek Forever After Is the fourth film in the Shrek series, and it’s just as adventurous and fun as the first three. One thing, among many, that I love about the Shrek movies is the music, and how it is used in the films. In Shrek Forever After, we are treated to Karen Carpenter singing Top of the World while Shrek runs amok, scaring everyone in sight, and an impressive rendition of Shake Your Groove Thing played on the flute as the Pied Piper enchants a bunch of ogres. Funny stuff. I also laughed out loud upon hearing Pinocchio call Rumplestiltskin Grumple-stinky-pants.

Title: The Incredibles

Imagine a world where the general population finally gets fed up with the super-heroes, and forces them all into hiding. How would the supers handle a normal life: holding a job, raising kids, paying the mortgage? And what would happen if a super-menace suddenly began threatening an entire city?
The Incredibles answers all these questions and more, in my favorite Disney Pixar movie of all. Two supers marry, and have three super-kids, eventually becoming an entire crime-fighting family. The folks at Pixar really outdid themselves with this one. I enjoyed this DVS version, but I have to admit that this is one time when I really missed seeing the action for myself. I was lucky enough to see the film a few times before I went blind, and I can tell you that The Incredibles showcases some of the finest computer animation I have ever seen.
The narrated version features two narrators, something I had not encountered before. It took me a while to figure it out, but they used one narrator for Mister Incredible’s scenes, and another for alter-ego Bob Paar’s scenes. A unique approach, and one that I found myself enjoying.
No end credits.

All of the DVS movies I listen to come from the Three Blind Mice. They have hundreds of titles in mp3 format to choose from, and they can all be downloaded to your computer completely free. Visit Three Blind Mice by following the link on the sidebar.
